AUSSIE RULES: Bakers Creek Tigers are on the hunt to back up their 2018 premiership win and have re-signed the coach who led them there.

Ian Rix was reappointed the Bakers Creek Tigers senior women's coach for the coming Aussie rules season yesterday for the third consecutive year.

Rix will be assisted again by Kirsty Swindells and Dave Maddock-Jones.

"Last season was just fantastic,” Rix said of last year's performance and a tough grand final match against Magpies.

"The girls created a strong bond and to win the flag was a fitting reward for the efforts they put in, but we need to look forward now and continue to improve.

"The majority of the girls are playing again plus a few returning from long-term injuries. And a few new ones will really add to our depth.”

Tigers will have their first training run on Monday, January 15 at 5pm at Etwell Park, and will welcome any players interested in giving the ball a kick.
