SANDGATE Scout's Jonathan Galagher and Joshua Cunningham are putting the venturer in adventurer as they attend the American Jamboree this week (July 19-28).
The two venturers are in West Virginia with thousands of young boys and girls eager to participate in extreme sports and activities.
Joshua's mother Lyn-Maree Cunningham said they went over two weeks early to do a bit of sight seeing before joining the biggest Scout event they have ever seen.
"It took them a while to get over jet-lag because Josh has never been overseas,” she said.
"Both of them have been to two Jamborees as scouts in Australia.
"This one is going to be on a massive scale, in Australia there was 9000, and in America there will be 50,000 scouts.
"They'll do rifle shooting, white water rafting and everything is on an app so they will know how long the lines are.
"They got the okay (to attend) in May, so everything has been a whirlwind.”
Jonathan and Joshua joined Sandgate Scouts at the same time and went through cubs, scouts and got their Australian Scout Medallion together.
They currently working towards their Queen Scout Award but will first get the opportunity to try zip-line challenges, bouldering, high ropes and mountain biking at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in the USA.
