Rides, entertainment galore at the Ipswich Show

THERE will be lots of buzz and excitement around the city as the community gathers to celebrate the 145th annual Ipswich Show.

This year's event will be held over three big days, beginning on Friday, May 18 until Sunday, May 20, at the Ipswich Showgrounds, located at 81 Warwick Rd, Ipswich.

With so much to see and do, there will be something for everyone.

There will be lots of exciting rides for thrill seekers, as well as rides for the city's youngest residents, in side show alley.

There will also be an animal nursery, farmyard friends, live entertainment in the form of bands playing and talent competitions, exhibits and displays.

The action in the main arena will feature a demolition derby, camel races, jet car, dunny derby and fireworks.

When you begin to get hungry, you will be able to find plenty of food stalls selling traditional show food such as dagwood dogs, hot chips, burgers, fairy floss and more.

Families wishing to attend can log on and buy tickets now on the show's website, www.ipswichshow.com.au.

Prepaid tickets for adults are $15 each, or $20 at the gate. Concession card holders and full time students can book online and pay $13, or it's $15 at the gate.

Entry for primary school children is $8 if bought online, or $10 at the gate.

A family pass, which consists of two adults and two children and one high school or a full time university student is $40 through the website, or $50 at the gate.
