AN IMPORTANT new exhibition that commemorates the centenary of the Armistice that brought about the end of World War I will be on display at the Somerset Regional Art Gallery - The Condensery in Toogoolawah.
Locals and visitors are invited to a special free opening of the exhibit, An End to Conflict, on Saturday, November 10, from 2-4pm, which will include light refreshments.
The exhibit will feature a series of paintings, Why War, by Toogoolawah resident Merton Chambers, and an installation of remembrance poppies created by artists Christ Just and Jayne Hodge, made in conjunction with the community.
The exhibit will also feature various items of significance to the people of Somerset including medals, photographs, letters, uniforms and other historic items.

The exhibition will be showcased at 29 Factory Rd, Toogoolawah, until Sunday, December 9.
