ENTREPRENEUR Dick Smith has launched a campaign to clear WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's name and get him back to Australia.
Mr Smith has made a video attacking Sweden and the US over Mr Assange's captivity.
He has written to the countries' embassies in Canberra warning their relationship with Australia will sour unless Mr Assange is released, The Australian has reported.
In the video he criticises Sweden as the "largest per-capita seller of arms in the world", and a country that gave free passage and sold iron ore to the Nazis while Australians were being killed in the Second World War.
"I reckon that same type of morality has remained with the powerful in Sweden," Mr Smith said.
Mr Assange remains at the Ecuadorian embassy in London to avoid extradition to Sweden on sexual assault charges, which he claims are politically motivated.
