DENTISTRY dynamo Dr Nauv Kashyap is passionate about making quality dental care easily accessible for Ipswich families.

Dr Kashyap knows the region well, having practised dentistry here since graduating from university in 2006 and then starting work at a Raceview practice.

A year later he took over that practice and has since grown his dental group to 25 dentists across 15 locations in the greater Brisbane area, including Yamanto, and at Brookwater as part of the Mater Health Centre.

His business acumen and strong marketing skills have also seen him add consultancy to his repertoire, helping other dentists to buy or set up their own practices.

Now, Dr Kashyap is poised to push further into the region with his next practice to open within the first stage of the $1.5 billion Ripley Town Centre.

Dr Kashyap believes his success flows from taking the perspective of patients and shaping a practice to suit their routine and financial situation.

That includes offering evening and Saturday appointments for busy lifestyles and offering payment arrangements that encourage more people to visit the dentist.

"I was the first practice in Ipswich to introduce interest-free payment plans,” he said.

"If people can pay their treatment off over time interest-free then they can start improving their smiles and their teeth in a timely manner.”

The Ripley Dental Surgery will offer both interest-free payment plans and extended trading hours, with appointments available on Saturdays and until 8pm on Thursdays.

Patients will be able to access services ranging from general dentistry and wisdom tooth surgery to orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry such as whitening and porcelain veneers.

And acknowledging that some people feel anxious and even phobic about visiting the dentist, Ripley Dental Surgery will also offer patients the option of having treatment done under anaesthetic at Ipswich Day Surgery Hospital.

There will also be a pediatric dentist - the only child specialist in Ipswich - in attendance at the Ripley practice for one day each fortnight.

Dr Kashyap said the new practice at Ripley Town Centre enabled his dental group to expand with the fast-growing Ipswich region.

"It's a huge opportunity for us to be able to service a local community that is quite close knit,” he said.

"We are very involved with the area and it's a great chance for us to expand.”
