KEEN South Burnett cricketers have the opportunity to learn from a former Australian cricket player.

Geoff Dymock OAM will run a clinic for junior cricket players aged from six to 16 in Kingaroy and Murgon on Tuesday, January 14.

As a player, Dymock captained the Queensland side and wore the baggy green in 21 Test matches.

Since retiring he has had 30 years experience as a coach, including roles with the Queensland side and as a coach on Australian tours of the West Indies and England.

The clinics will be an opportunity for players of all skill levels to work on their performance in all forms of cricket, before the season returns for 2019, including how to bat successfully against spin bowlers.

The skills covered in the program have been chosen by Dymock and cricket legend Doug Walters.

It is a Cricketing Old Greats Australia session, which will focus on delivering comprehensive and correct cricket coaching.

The session will run from 9am-noon at Lyle Vidler Oval and 2-5pm at the Murgon Showgrounds on Tuesday, January 14.

The clinic costs $30 per player.
