REFLECTING on Term 3, we have had some big successes; junior and senior athletics carnivals, Book Week, a few Student of the Month awards ceremonies and various year level excursions spring to mind.
Of course, there are many more minor successes that go seemingly unnoticed, in and around the classrooms and school. From anxious and shy prep students that are now confidently speaking with peers and teachers, to the early readers that have that breakthrough moments where their reading becomes more fluent and comprehension soars.
This does not happen by chance. We have great teachers working with great students who have fantastic attitudes and supportive parents and carers that encourage them at home.
In the first week of Term 4, the school will finalise the process for appointing our student leader positions for 2018. We eagerly await the outcome of the voting process and identifying those deserving students who will be given the honour of leading and representing the student body in 2018.
Other major events in the calendar to be aware of include: prep interviews (in mid-late October), our series of 4 Prep Transition days (each Monday in November from 2pm), our school swimming carnival and our Year 6 graduation, to name just a few.
